One of the world’s biggest car gatherings has been taking place in Monterey every year for 69 years, known by the name of Monterey Car Week. It is featured every August at Pebble Beach near the coast of Monterey where you will find daring and exciting cars you don’t normally see everyday (for most of us at least). This week gives you a chance to catch some of history’s finest tuned classics and modern day sport luxury. Famous events include: Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Mech Muscle Cars & More Auction, RM Sotheby’s Auctions, Exotics on Cannery Row, Concorso Italiano and Pebble Beach Concours D’ Elegance.
This exciting time for the Monterey Peninsula welcomes thousands of visitors and car lovers from all over the country. Monterey Car Week caters to almost all car manufacturers, including Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Bugatti, Bentley, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, and more exquisite driving machines, a symphony of luxury. Certain days also feature more “everyday” cars that you would likely see on a day to day basis. This means that there is something for anyone who has a slight interest in cars or collects themselves. This out of world automobile extravaganza is full of all different types of car-related excitement and compliments cars from all over the world. In addition, catch live performances from a handful of quality bands and delicious foods that you can enjoyably chow down on and not feel bad.
Monterey Car Week also caters all-women car show lines and hundreds of vintage cars traveling on the road, showing their elegance. Muscle cars and motorcycles can be found at Mecum Muscle Cars and More. Monterey Car Week’s main attraction for many would also be the many different auctions they have with their diverse selection of cars.
Residents can live “the life” for one out of fifty-two weeks luxuriously, casually seeing a GT2 RS and F50s parked all around town and in parking garages. The rumble and roar of cars down Highway 1 and smell of old exhaust is incomparable to any other feeling. Aside from the multimillion dollar vehicles, one can also enjoy unique, smaller vehicles we have in The Little Car Show, limited to a total of 100 mini, micro, electric, steam and arcane vehicles. The Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove lines up all sorts of tiny vehicles during Auto Week.
